Say he asked Obama not to come for a few weeks.

The resources needed to provide security for him would take away from the recovery effort.

I'm in Texas and a lot of people here are going to help; my daughter lives in New Orleans and they're ok so far.

Obama isn't going yet, he's on vacation.

But I did read that Trump will be there on Friday.

Louisiana flooding is worst disaster since Sandy, but people aren’t talking about it

At least 13 people are dead and 40,000 homes are damaged because of flooding in Louisiana – and the rest of the world isn’t really talking about it.

Since rain hit the state's southern region last week, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have collectively issued no formal acknowledgements of the disaster, aside from a tweet. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2016/08/18/louisiana-flooding-worst-disaster-since-sandy-but-people-arent-talking/88942460/http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2016/08/18/louisiana-flooding-worst-disaster-since-sandy-but-people-arent-talking/88942460/

At best they know New Orleans is a good place to fly into, but most of them just think of most of America as far off places full of people they don't care for.
