It seems the flooding there isn't being handled.
I see little/no coverage on this. Can anyone there or in the know let me know what's going on?

The resources needed to provide security for him would take away from the recovery effort.

(35,015 posts)I'm in Texas and a lot of people here are going to help; my daughter lives in New Orleans and they're ok so far.
Obama isn't going yet, he's on vacation.
But I did read that Trump will be there on Friday.

On August 18, Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson will visit Baton Rouge, La. to meet with state and local officials and review ongoing response and recovery efforts in areas affected by severe flooding. At least 13 people are dead and 40,000 homes are damaged because of flooding in Louisiana and the rest of the world isnt really talking about it.
