On August 18, Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson will visit Baton Rouge, La. to meet with state and local officials and review ongoing response and recovery efforts in areas affected by severe flooding. At least 13 people are dead and 40,000 homes are damaged because of flooding in Louisiana – and the rest of the world isn’t really talking about it. Similar - unprecedented - environmental events are occurring on a worldwide basis, due to climate change.
