As fellow political junkies, how many of you feel that you could debate Trump and win?

I firmly believe that a political junkie could debate Trump on the issues and come out way ahead. Now that's sorry to say about a presidential candidate.

Logic and facts won't work. They'll devolve into ad hominem attacks and false patriotism

I have a brothet with a similar personality. Much like.the different trump pundits it is impossible to get a word in. Interruption and diversion is their game. Fortunately the majority see through that game.

Debates from a viewers standpoint are in large part won by affirmations of the viewers own beliefs, with support for feisty jabs at the person they see as an opponent tossed in for good measure.

I think a forensic judges would likely evaluate debate success much different than the partisan viewers.

is to have an impartial set of fact checkers sitting at the debate, complete with visual aids, research reports, and personal witnesses.

And even then, Trump is simply going to say that up is down and there isn't much you can do to prove him wrong to his followers.

He takes control of the debate through sheer rudeness and takes it off into his private version of reality. Logic can't defeat someone like Trump. Witness how Fox has perfected the art of overwhelming intelligent and knowledgeable liberal guests with a deluge of lies, misinformation, and personal attacks.
