At a carefully choreographed speech earlier this week, Republican nominee Donald Trump spoke more at length about his grand plans for securing our borders. The proposal, which if enacted would surely rival our nation’s historic Gentlemen’s Agreement with Japan in 1907, is a process known as “extreme vetting.”

“We should only admit into this country those who share our values and respect our people,” said Trump on Monday. “Extreme, extreme vetting.”
