General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsCNN is claiming Trump is touring flood-damaged LA as he stands there in an auditorium.
If that polo-shirted, Gucci loafered weasel puts one delicate foot down on that devastated landscape, where it stinks from waste and mold and muck, where people are struggling with the horrors that even breathing in that heat, where bodies are washing out of the graves, where people have lost everything but the shirts on their backs, where job sites are gone, where homes are gone, where the very sight of a FEMA trailer sets off a case of PTSD like you cannot imagine, I'll keel over from shock.
I want General Honore to go there and give him what for. I want him to fall on his face in the middle of somebody's destroyed living room and have that pristine white shirt covered in reality.
That man hasn't actually suffered a day in his life and I trust his interest in the people of Louisiana like I trust the wolf's interest in the heath of the herd.

There is nothing that will convince me that bastard cares. He's worked all his life to convince me otherwise. Fool me once, etc.

(4,291 posts)Repulicants and their minions are criticizing President Obama for staying the hell away from the disaster area, which would have to divert precious resources to support a president's visit. Some are even trying to compare the President's physical absence from the scene with W's flyover after Katrina. What they fail to take into account is the vast difference between FEMA' FUBAR then -- under "heck of a job, Brownie" -- and the timely, well-managed Federal response underway, led by an emergency management professional, Craig Fugate.
If Drumpf and his stooge Pence really want to show their concern and do some real good, they'd open their checkbooks. Oh, right ... Never gonna happen.

CNN said "Trump is showing a lot of courage to go to the midst of the riots in Milwaukee to give his law and order speech."
