The latest Republican brain fart is that they not only need to tear down Hillary Clinton but they need to tear down Barack Obama, also. This morning, Joe Scarborough was following the strategy very closely. He was repeating over and over about how Barack Obama "lied" about how the $400 million dollars given to Iran was a pay-off to the hostage takers. Never mind that the $400 million dollars belonged to the government of Iran.
It is not like the US Government sold weapons to get the money to pay the Iranians to release American citizens. As far as we know, there were no American assets swapped for the release of the Americans held by Iran? Morning Joe did not see any distinction. It didn't matter if the money was not ours to swap.

(12,265 posts)Then there was the inquisition regarding when "the Democrats" lost the blue collar vote. The poor guy didn't know what to say the way Joe was beating him down. Nothing mentioned about why the dixiecrats went to the Republicans after Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act. From that little mess came Trump and his racist white supporters.
I don't see the Democrats losing the blue collar vote, I just see that they are less organized since the Republicans and the one percent killed labor unions.
I noticed Mika was gone while this was going on, no doubt sent away so she could not say anything while they towed the party line.

(7,113 posts)...who aren't afraid to vigorously debate Scar. Of course, it's highly doubtful he would allow it.
I recall him getting in a heated debate with Rachel Maddow many years ago on David Gregory's old 6 p.m. MSNBC show. Scar got into a major snit and stomped off the set.

(1,907 posts)He was also saying he knew dipshit donnie for 30 years and never heard him say stuff like he has been. Just because you go to a party, see him some place, or maybe talk to him for a few minutes. Doesn't mean you "know" him.
I worked around white supremacists and card carrying KKK members. They can seem like anyone else. I worked with a guy for about 2 months every day, 7 days a week, 12 hours each day. No idea he was KKK. We had some normal chats just didn't get in to beliefs or politics. I got a new black apprentice. Next day he shows up with a KKK hat on the dash of his truck. They normally didn't advertise stuff like that.
