Just cross posted it for a Trumplodyte on another board boasting how Trump went down to LA to help.

Best wishes to the state of LA. Tough times, indeed. I hope you're getting the help you need.

...at the CAMERA instead of acknowledging the person he was handing it too? This happened with just about EVER box, bag, whatever.

And as he was walking through the "crowd", he kept looking at the camera.

and shirt sleeves rolled up to appear like they are prepared to work long and hard. Trump does it for 45 seconds in his coat in the August heat. Nothing about his photo op even looks remotely real. Also, wtf is up with "Playdo"? Couldn't he have sent bottled water or MRE's?

Thanks for posting it, 4lbs!

SUCH good information to have. They need money. That seems to be a basic for all really critical immediate needs, in many different situations. I remember when a close friend lost her husband to a freak accident, leaving her alone to raise their very young children. "What can I do to help?" I'd hear. Even brought it up at a church we attended. What I realized she needed most was money. She wasn't working, they'd lived on his salary. She was home with the kids. They needed groceries. And light bulbs. And toilet paper. And fresh milk. And laundry detergent. And gas for the car. All the very most humble basics, but when you think about it, these are essentials! And they're the kinds of stuff you keep on needing, every few days. DONATED MONEY is what helps cover that variety grab-bag of needs.

In the case of the flood victims (and also, I fear, fire victims in The Cajon Pass area here in SoCal - who may soon be allowed to return to their homes, provided those homes haven't been burnt to the ground), that also probably means clothing items. This Facebook page specified numerous families and schools in one flooded-out area that in particular needed boys clothes. Age about 10 - 14 as I recall.

Hillary advocating for assistance like this just underscores how basically practical she is, and that her thinking is, and her inclinations are.

I and others are working non-stop to counter the shameful attempt to smear Democratic Governor John Bel Edwards in the media. Social media posts from outsiders dominate the conversation, telling us how wonderful Trump is. Bullshit. We know better. Anyone can help by countering the Trump propaganda anywhere on social media. We need the help here in Louisiana, we are fighting time, mold, sudden unemployment, and now the right-wing media.

Don't let social media posts about the three-hour tour of Trump dominate the conversation. It was shameful and those of us on the ground here know it, but are too tired, busy, and weary to fight that battle full-time now, too.
