Congress to hold hearings in September to determine if Hillary Clinton committed perjury

By Bryan Renbaum
August 18, 2016

The House Judiciary Committee will hold hearings in September to determine whether Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton lied about her use of a private email server during testimony before the House Select Benghazi Committee last October.

Judiciary Chairman Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) and Oversight Chairman Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah.) co-wrote a legal memorandum Monday to the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia suggesting inconsistencies between what the former Secretary of State told the Benghazi Committee and what she told FBI in July.

“During a House Select Committee on Benghazi hearing on October 22, 2015, Secretary Clinton testified with respect to whether she sent or received emails that were marked classified at the time; whether her attorneys reviewed each of the emails on her personal email system; whether there was one or more servers that stored work-related emails during her time as secretary of state; and whether she provided all her work-related emails to the Department of State,” the memorandum states.

This is what I was talking about in my thread: http://www.democraticunderground.com/10028108711

Why can't we be as relentless in going after Trump on his calls for a foreign adversary to commit espionage and for the assassination of Hillary Clinton as Republicans have been in going after Hillary for Benghazi and her emails!

It will be a never ending cycle of investigations and interrogations to give the illusion that the House is working.

Unless a tidal wave returns control of Congress to the Democrats.

Stupid me for thinking they might cooperate with Obama any better!!

At least there was no Obama sex scandal for them to do their typical Spanish Inquisition crap.

They want a horse race.

Have you noticed, commentators on MSNBC and CNN are talking about Trump's comeback, saying that he had a good week, having given three solid speeches, staying on message, blah blah blah?

Literally all they do anymore is obstruct progress and conduct Hillary Clinton investigations. Maybe they should try to repeal Obamacare for the 20th time or something? Expect no progress whatsoever unless the dems retake congress.

They been hunting the Clintons for 24 years. The majority of voters know this. At some point, rational voters will see this as simple partisan politics and the pushback maybe in the house elections. i hope more thinking people say, enough of this character assassination bullshit and vote a Democratic House just to stop this nonsense. If they won't do their jobs and work for all Americans to solve the issues that affect the bottom 80%, then they need to be voted out of office.

Besides, Dems leave law enforcement to the appropriate agencies rather than show boating for political purposes.
