Republicans now blaming Obama for their unbelievable incompetence.

<snip>
WASHINGTON — On Wednesday, Congress was so determined to pass a law to sue Saudi Arabia that it overrode President Barack Obama’s veto. But possible backlash against America had top Republican leaders looking for someone else to blame Thursday.

And they appear to have settled on Obama.

The Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act allows victims of the 9/11 attacks to sue the kingdom for its alleged, but unproven, support of the hijackers who flew planes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

Opponents had argued that the bill was caving in to conspiracy theorists and that it would raise the specter of other nations hauling the United States into court for things it actually does — such as killing civilians in drone strikes. The White House called the override the “single most embarrassing thing that the United States Senate has done” in decades.

6. So Democrats that voted for it can't be blamed? Why do they get a pass?

Hillary Clinton also said she supported the bill.

I'm sorry but the Democrats are just as much to blame for overriding the veto.

It shows clearly what is wrong with politics in Washington. Anybody that votes for McConnell is a fool.

they were on board.

Really embarrassing I hadn't seen Hillary supported it I hope that is not true. Once again Obama was the only adult in the crowd.

No longer accountable to voters. There's a reason this thing passed with some 98 votes in the Senate, right or wrong, none of these people want to be perceived as "picking fights" with 9/11 families. Not to mention it was publicly supported by Clinton.

Obama gets to speak truth now, but do you think he wouldn't have voted for it in September 2008 or signed something similar in September 2012? Maybe I'm getting cynical in old age, but I highly doubt it.

I was originally against the veto, because I do want to see Saudi Arabia pay for their complicity in 9/11.

But, wiser heads convinced me that the law has UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES, so, I changed my mind.

If Republicans had done their due diligence, they would have known this IN THE FIRST PLACE.

After all, that's THEIR JOB!!

McConnell's words. He said that Pres. Obama should have "spoken to them sooner" about the "ramifications" of their actions!

They really do not like to do homework do they? Republican is the everyday word for lazy thought.

Anyway I think this needs to be on the front page!
