Really, the "letters to the editor" of the New York Times regarding editorials about Trump are well worth reading!

Let me print off the first several LETTERS TO THE EDITOR" response to Gail Collins in her New York Times article today. My first duty in the morning (after realizing that I'm still alive at 67), is to open the New York Times on my Kindle and read the opinion articles and also the responses to them.

Delicious, informative, and the respondents really do have fire in their belly, facts at their disposal, and a wonderful way of conveying information.

Gail, one request. It's not necessary to precede every positive statement about Hillary Clinton with a qualifier that she is "flawed" or "imperfect." Heaven knows, the NYT has told us that enough, along with other media outlets. For myself, I feel deeply indebted to Secretary Clinton for beating the Donald soundly in Round 1 of the debates. I mean saving the country from a momentumized Trump is worth a lot.

Senator Elizabeth Warren - bless her liberal heart - had a slightly different take on Trump's 3AM Twitter attack of Alicia Machado, as Trump tries his best for a complete shutout of female votes on November 8.

Donald defended his 3AM idiotic tweeting by digging the hole deeper:

"For those few people knocking me for tweeting at three o'clock in the morning, at least you know I will be there, awake, to answer the call!"

Senator Warren unloaded on Trump on Twitter:

"Is this what keeps you up at night, @realDonaldTrump? Thinking of new & interesting ways to call women fat or ugly or sluts?"

"You never tweet at 3am with ways to help students getting crushed by debt or seniors struggling on Social Security"

"You never tweet at 3am with ways to create new jobs for workers or hold Wall Street accountable"

"Nope: the only things that keep your mind racing at night are your next racist, sexist tweets & disgusting lies."

"A thin-skinned bully who thinks humiliating women at 3am qualifies him to be President does not understand America & is not fit to lead."

Anyone with a shred of human decency and an IQ above room temperature will be voting for the Madam Secretary over the temperamental Trump lunatic.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned so far is that a lot of men still consider women second-class citizens, and are threatened by a woman being President even more so than a Black man. Sexism is just as big a problem in this country as racism. otherwise, equal pay for equal work would be the law of the land. America needs to wake up on so many levels.

I keep hearing about white male alienation, and how all the alienated white males are going to vote for Trump. But I wonder if the reason all these white males are alienated is because they’re stupid. If you’re so deluded that you think Trump is presidential material, maybe you should be alienated.

It’s possible that people alienate you because you’ve made bad decisions all your life, you didn’t get a decent education, you’re intellectually incurious and you can’t tell the difference between a slightly flawed, politically astute and highly prepared candidate and a man with a raccoon on his head whose campaign slogan is “No fat chicks.”

I’d also like to say a few words about millennials who might actually vote for Gary Johnson. You don’t know what you’re doing. Only people who don’t know what an Aleppo is will vote for a presidential candidate who doesn’t know what an Aleppo is. And you should know what an Aleppo is. It’s a very bad thing, like a crop duster loaded with Ebola. If your presidential candidate of choice is that ignorant, you should stay home and not reward him for his ignorance.

If Gary Johnson takes only a few percent of the vote from Hillary Clinton, it might be enough for Donald Trump to win the presidency. So if Johnson is a protest vote, you’re essentially putting Donald Trump in the White House. That’s very, very Aleppo. Don’t do it.

So vote for Hillary. Republicans' heads will explode if she's elected, and that's so not Aleppo.

Gail, can you name one President in U.S. history who was "perfect?" Can you name one candidate for ANY office who is "perfect?" Enough of this sexist, misogynistic misnomer ascribed to HRC. Nobody is "perfect,", just as no country on earth, including ours, is " perfect." If anything, this election cycle proves that point more than any words could express. Stop perpetuating this damaging nonsense NOW. If HRC's resume were submitted without identification of gender, the entire voting public would be rushing to the polls to vote her in with an enormous landslide and the whole world would marvel at the fact that, despite all our flaws, our country could produce such a statesman, one who is willing to grapple with some of the most daunting challenges, domestic and foreign, in history.

Oh, Gail, I am no longer interested in seeing Donald Trump's tax returns. We should all have a look at his porno rentals. The titles will tell us the truth about this...this abomination.

I can't describe him the way I want to...but when a candidate for the presidency of the 240-year old United States of America urges the citizens to view a sex tape as validation that Hillary Clinton is using a woman to set him up for failure, and he won't give it up but doubles down on it, well anyone who votes for him, and this includes the hypocritical "evangelical Christian" bloc, well...

Those writers are thoughtful and measure the words carefully. And I pretty much agree with everything they regularly say--although I sometimes disagree with the right wing responders.

But the "Letters to the Editor" people responding to the columnists are usually excellent--especially when one goes for the "Readers' Picks."

There really should be another format that those letter-writers can use to get there thoughts out to more people.

Implies enthusiastic Clinton supporters are starry-eyed superfans who scream and faint and throw their panties onstage at Hillary rallies. Also the constant reminder that she has to earn our votes, as if she hasn't been doing that. How can anyone look at her resume and think she's a slacker? Being told over and over to remember now, Hillary Clinton isn't perfect, she has her flaws, don't get complacent, she has to earn our votes, as if we're children who have to be reminded to use the bathroom before leaving the house because we're not stopping once we get on the road -- that's very very Aleppo.
