Sure, they might screw up once in awhile (as teenagers/young adults do), but I feel like they will honor their daughters' ability to have control/agency over their own lives. President Obama never struck me as an over-controlling alpha male as the pic suggests.

comes from "Clueless" where Cher's dad, played by Dan Hedaya says to Cher's suitor;

"I have a gun and a shovel and NO ONE will miss you."

(Possible spoiler alert)

Both current TV fictions about Presidential and White House living are addressing the same issue of a first family child involved with drugs.

It will be interesting to see if they tackle more teenage issues.

Having seen the first two episodes of "Designated Survivor" (ABC) last night, I can say it looks very promising. Keifer Sutherland is doing his usual masterful job.

I love both shows.

Unlike our president, I've actually pulled a trigger in combat an seen a person drop in my sights.

However, much like imagine President Obama would feel about his daughters, I don't plan on having to intimidate anyone my daughters date. I plan on my daughters having a solid head on their shoulders and plenty of strength to protect themselves and make good decisions. I'll be there to back them up, but my daughters are in charge of their own lives
