(111,259 posts)They're the ones who are absolutely obsessed with DWTS, Kardashians, and empty headed rich housewives. Or they are obsessed with fantasy football and getting rich quick on it. A lot of people out there pay absolutely no attention to politics until the last week before election day and make up their minds according to whether or not they "like" a candidate.
I think they also make lousy focus groups. Better to pick people who think they already favor one or the other, then poll them again afterward to see if anyone had his/her mind changed. It helps if they have minds to change, IOW.

(22,165 posts)Though the difference between Clinton and the short fingered vulgarian (sfv) is stark and startling (to me) ... the only thing I can fathom is that there are people that don't see a major difference
(in the primary I noted some differences in sanders and clinton but believed the sum total of their pluses and minuses were equal ... I guess there is that possibility with some voters weighing Clinton and the SFV)
