Why? Because if he did, everyone would see just how stupid he is and how he is planning to rip off this country. So, his campaign is merely a vehicle for riling up his followers, whom he hates in the first place.
His campaign is truly a negative one. No ideas. No plans. No proposals with any details. He doesn't want people to know what he really has in mind, which is using the White House to increase his own wealth, and not much else. If they knew what he really wants to do, he'd be 30 percentage points behind in the polls.

LAUER: Youve had a very different background, in business. So nobody would expect you to have taken over the last 20 years really deep dives into some of these issues.

(10,252 posts)I think his main objective is to "look good" and "look important." As shallow as that sounds, that's what he is. A shallow person, for whom appearances are everything. He wants all the trappings of the presidency. The private plane and marine helicopter, the leather jacket with presidential seal on the front, being seen receiving heads of state, sitting in the oval office, sitting at the table head of cabinet meetings, a new set of white house china, his presidential portrait, etc etc. Making more money is a side benefit. But unraveling Obama's executive orders and accomplishments would give him far more pleasure. Donald Trump delights in tearing down his enemies. It would not surprise me if he sic'ed the DoJ and IRS on some of his enemies too. Appearance and emptiness. All appearance with no real substance.

(5,737 posts)Lots of people said that 20 minutes or so was when he did well. He NEVER answered the question as to how he would bring manufacturing jobs back to the US. He only said those jobs had left. No plan and no specifics and no proposals. Only words and his same line. Because he has not laid out any plans, and only said "trust me", i have no comprehension how anybody could take him seriously.
