We're getting more rain from Hurricane Matthew now

than we got when it was moving away from us and heading N and then NE towards Haiti, DR and Cuba.

Hurricane Opal hit Pensacola but devastated Panama city beach 120 miles away.

2. Well it's moving NW now and it's so big

3. 240 mile Tropical Storm radius..He's big.

We are in for a ride Friday.

4. Yep I'm now worried for North East Florida

Dade County will will have to deal with serious rain

5. NE Florida is me.

They are forecasting 60-80 mph at my house. If it jogs anymore west, all bets are off.

This is one deadly hurricane and he's huge. Get ready and please stay safe

7. This one looks like it's going to get very weird

It's going up the Bahamas, will skim the coast of Florida, then head out to sea turning east and then turning south. This might be one that goes around in a circle and hits somebody twice before steering currents push it out to sea and cold water weakens it.

Exactly none of the forecast models predicted this one before this morning.

8. When Matthew slowed down

all models changed - this one is weird

9. Meanwhile, Nicole is wandering around in a circle gaining strength

and looks like she might hit Bermuda by Tuesday or early Wednesday.

Matthew still looks like it's going to go right up the Indian River on the east coast of Florida. I wonder if there will be anything left of my dad's old house when the storm is over. It's inches above flood tide level on a barrier island.

I'm so glad I opted to live on higher ground, although a mile up does seem like overkill.
