(111,339 posts)It's going up the Bahamas, will skim the coast of Florida, then head out to sea turning east and then turning south. This might be one that goes around in a circle and hits somebody twice before steering currents push it out to sea and cold water weakens it.
Exactly none of the forecast models predicted this one before this morning.

(111,339 posts)and looks like she might hit Bermuda by Tuesday or early Wednesday.
Matthew still looks like it's going to go right up the Indian River on the east coast of Florida. I wonder if there will be anything left of my dad's old house when the storm is over. It's inches above flood tide level on a barrier island.
I'm so glad I opted to live on higher ground, although a mile up does seem like overkill.
