this afternoon was Christmas in October. I have the feeling this just might do it. I don't see how any evangelical, Christian or woman can vote for Trump.

(4,723 posts)His rabidly bigoted followers will find some way to rationalize it. Michelle Bachman apparently already has, something about HRC making Donald say this back in 2005. His male followers won't be phased, in fact this will probably raise him in their estimation.

(3,370 posts)Evangelical Christians just know in their heart that Don the Con has been washed in the Blood of Christ and he is a new man, free of sin.
Evangelical women know that Trump is but a poor man, subjected to women each day and overcome with temptation due to their sinful bodies. It's the fault of women for tempting him into sin. It's just what women do.
This may wiggle some undecided folks with less fundamental religious beliefs, but I don't know that it will shake the Evangelicals who were already committed to him.
Just moments ago a fundie acquaintance shared a meme that says, "I care more about what Hillary DID (aka Benghazi) than what Donald has said." His transgressions don't matter to them because he hates the same people they hate.
