I'm beginning to breathe a little easier

A not-so-brief background on me:

-I spent a good portion of the Great Recession on the unemployment line.

-After that I landed a great job that I love.

-I'm trying to make up for that lost time on unemployment to put more away for retirement which I plan on happening in 7-8 years.

-Our house is close to being paid off.

I read up on Trump's plans economically and it looked like Trickle Down V.4. Looked at Hillary and it, that the conservatives like to point out, is more or less a continuation of what Obama laid in place. This is fine with me because these past years has been some of the best I've ever experienced.

I look at life in a Trump presidency and one thought cross my mind repeatedly. I don't want to be unemployed again. I DO NOT want to be unemployed again. I do not want to work until I die. I do not want my quality of life being just a little better than a person living under a bridge.

Okay. My last point may have been a stretch. But the point is I am going to make sure I keep working until retirement with no more depression or mood swings like in those dark days of unemployment. I will do my part to make sure Trump never gets within 10 miles of the White House. In around 10 days I will take delivery of my absentee ballot. I will vote HRC and blue up and down the ballot, then drove to the post office to mail it. I want my state of Ohio blue as we have much work to do in the state and local races.

Please vote. I'm breathing easier and am confident November 8th will be a big day for all of us. But I do not want yet another iteration of trickle down, anti worker or more 'religious freedom' (or discrimination with regard to race, gender or sexual orientation).

Please vote. Your life and well-being depends on it.

I spent all but a few months of three years unemployed due to the Great Recession. Thankfully there was the US Census in 2010. Now, I have a stable job I like (not the highest paying job in the world but it pays the rent and keeps food on the table) and feel generally stable in life. Republicans like to run the economy in the ground in their mad grabs to make the ueber-rich even richer, and I don't want to go through that again.

Also, as a gay man, I fear for the repressive Republican social agenda becoming law. Republican bigotry is an ugly thing.
