If any interesting news hits, I'll read it here on DU. But I can't keep absorbing this hate, these lies, this negative implosion.
It's getting to me and I don't like my mood.
I've been doing bookeeping today with the Harry Potter movies in the background, and I feel better, already.
I hope more women come forward, and I believe them. No one volunteers for this kind of aggravation without good reason.
I don't care what Bill Clinton did: He's no longer in office. I won't judge Hillary by his actions.
I'm feeling like the country's women (most of us, anyway) are finding solidarity in each other, and for that I'm grateful, but it's not something that will be covered by MSNBC or CNN.
So, I'm letting all of the women on DU and in the U.S. be my connection, not the TV. He can hrumpf at his minions. I'm done.

Just be aware that the drop in your overall stress level could be so pleasant that you might make it permanent.
I turned the assholes off in 2004. I've found no reason to turn any of them back on.

(3,867 posts)I haven't watched political TV in years. It's not necessary. Information on left-leaning sites is accurate, unlike conservative counterparts.

(46,179 posts)anyone ever, at any time, puts on political tv or radio. Or at least, I think I know, but the need for political team sports is simply alien to me. It's not like I need talking heads on tv or radio to explain issues to me, to tell me what to think, or to try to press emotional buttons to whip me into line where I wouldn't have been with my rational brain.
Informed people have known enough about Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton to make their choice in November before the primary season ever opened; there's nothing happening right now that really changes that. I guess the pablum for the masses is good for those who don't make an effort to inform themselves, but then they are ripe for manipulation by the ubiquitous propaganda.
As for solidarity? I'm a woman. I stand in solidarity with anyone, of any gender, who I determine to need and deserve it.
I feel differently than you about the Clintons. A lot differently. I'm not going to express what I really think, though, and provide fodder for those trying to excuse Trump's misogyny. I'm going to stay present in my life, and off the tv and radio talk shows.
