Peter Thiel is putting his money where his mouth is.
The billionaire PayPal cofounder is donating $1.25 million to Donald Trump's campaign, according to a source close to Thiel.
Thiel has been a vocal supporter of Trump -- one of the most prominent in Silicon Valley. He spoke at the Republican National Convention and made history when he declared on stage that he was proud to be gay.
..more..
Trump will lower his taxes and he doesn't give a shit about anything else.

(38,000 posts)I'm not saying that PayPal is a sterling company but it is not Peter Thiel's company.

(7,488 posts)Paypal still is a donor to RW and libertarian causes. An example, in 2012 two Paypal execs joined together with Thiel to give $3.9 million to the Ron Paul campaign. When Paul failed, Thiel then gave a subsequent donation to Romney.
Yes Thiel did sell but it is uncommon for someone to leave a company they co-founded or had large assets with without retaining some connections; major stock holdings, Board of Directors, special "consultant" etc. Remember the cozy relationship Dick Cheney maintained with Halliburton.

Better as far as I'm concerned.
