Until, I am not taking anything for granted.
It is somewhat re-assuring that Hillary has a good lead in the polls. If the race were tied or very close, it would be very difficult to deal with, for a lot of people.
However, I cannot permit myself to believe all the polls. I think of Harry Truman holding up the Chicago Tribune, or whatever paper it was? He didn't have a chance, they said.
My hope is that in the next two weeks, the people turn against Trump in such an over-whelming manner that the Democrats end up with the House and the Senate. If they can remove Mitch McConnell as Majority Leader of the Senate, they will have removed the single biggest obstacle to effective government in Washington. It's too bad the Republicans cannot see who the real enemy is in blocking legislation and Supreme Court Justices...
Until then, I will continue to believe that the good in America outweighs the bad.

(13 posts)I am getting tired of seeing Trump everywhere and really hope he disappears after the election.

(33 posts)...that Dems & Progressives will not be able to swing the House vote this election. We should take the Sentate, but I really want a resounding defeat of the conservatives, since their are programs hanging by a thread and many Americans need help (such help!) out here.
Even though it tires me to know end to think about it, I am already thinking ahead to the next election in two years. I'm wondering if we can build on the momentum we are going to gain this year & build on it, or let it go?
These things keep me up at night.
