This election is not over.

For those that have been lulled into a false sense of security, there will be another shift in the polls before this disaster is over.

If a board of psychiatrists stood in the middle of Fifth Avenue and declared Donald Trump clinically insane, it would change very few minds of Trump supporters.

Mike Pence is now urging all Republicans to "come home". Come back to the Republican Party. They must come together to prevent Hillary Clinton from reaching the White House.

The polls may ease the anxiety but the reality is that Trump supporters are a passionate and dedicated group. They have no intention of giving up. They must be beaten.

This cancer must be removed from our body politic. If it is not removed, we will see a huge downturn in our economy - perhaps another depression? We will see citizen turn against citizen. We will see events happen that we cannot even imagine. It is a very serious exercise we are going through.

As Dan Rather used to say: "Courage".

GOTV is so important.

Find somewhere you can help with the GOTV effort. Your future depends on it.

many wish it would be. I have noted a dearth of yard signs and bumper stickers this round. There are a few here and there, but nothing like the past and those that have them are for state and local candidates.

I have also noted that at recent family gatherings a general pall on what would have been election comments from both Democrats and Republicans within the family. Even a person I know to be heavily involved in politics and a strident supporter of HRC (she and I butted heads in a friendly fashion during the primaries) was exceptionally quiet. The consensus was "please just make it go away".

...I'm not a fan of worrying folks to death. Confidence carries most of us to the polls, at least among our politically involved population here at DU. No need for these cautions.

WE are a passionate and dedicated group, as well.
