(I know, 1984... But that year will never recapitulate 1968. NEVER!)

But I am liking a Cubs/Indians World Series.

Now if Billie Bean can get the Athletics there, that would be great, too.

That makes me feel like a bit of a party-pooper this year with all the Cub love, but that franchise has no excuse for not being consistently successful.

He could throw a strike from the right field wall at Tiger Stadium, and did on multiple occasions, much to the consternation of a runner tagging up from third base only to have the home plate ump give him a double-pumper when Bill Freehan had ball in glove and easily made the tag.

And don't get me started about Mickey Stanley, Jim Northrup, and the fucking almighty pitcher Mickey Lolich who hid his grip on the ball behind his beer belly!!

1968! An amazing World Series year!
