For the past 2 months, before the debate circuit I felt great about our chances to get Hillary elected.
Each day that passed and after each debate along with subsequent poll boosts I thought for sure this thing is a lock.
Then this crap with the email happens today...
Now it's clear to me that it's nonsense and probably hasn't a shred of any relevant new information about this ridiculous political hit job on Hillary...
But it has me very worried.
Tell me if you feel the same?

(34 posts)And we early voted here in FL, 2 votes in the bag for Hillary and Murphy.
And again, I know it's BS, but it's negative attention she doesn't need in front of fence sitters.
Please let the Trump "n-word" video drop in a few days... we all know it's out there.

(6,544 posts)as they are very low information emotion-voters. They also have the attention span of a flea, so some other shiny scandal will show up to move them off TDC. I rather hope they find direct payment documentation between Trump and the Russian government. I'll be OK with the video dropping too, though

(45,806 posts)He did promise Congress he would keep them advised of anything important. However, that notice should have been far more explicit. His limited statement lacks any specificity. If he felt obligated to advise Congress, he should also have felt obligates to explain whose emails are subject to investigation, how many, and what they are looking for in them.

(1,508 posts)And make no mistake, this is an incredibly stupid country. I've had a bad feeling about this for a long, long time. I check fivethirtyeight.com ten times a day to make sure I'm seeing what I'm seeing and I'm still not sure I believe it.
I won't be back to normal until it's over and Secretary Clinton has been declared the winner. I've never been scared of a candidate winning before. I would have hated it if McCain or Romney won but I wasn't afraid of it. The thought of a complete idiot like Trump winning and the extremists who advise him in there is downright terrifying.

(34 posts)This is the exact same feeling I have.
To me this isn't a "oh well, maybe next election" moment.
This is a "holy shit, democracy might fall" type of moment.
Trump is extraordinarily dangerous.

(17,600 posts)Somehow the conversation needs to get back on Trump.
The media continuing to gnaw at this nothing of a chew toy is not helpful.
But, I really doubt that Trump can avoid making "news" for very long, in that special way he has.
So I'm not really worried.

I think she will win, but this won't help. I already cast my ballot for her, anyway.
