On 9/11, and for a while afterwards, Rudy Guiliani was granted the title, "America's Mayor." And yes, on that horrible day, he really was "America's Mayor." He was all over the TV, covered with ashes from the fallen World Trade Center. He understood the enormous tragedy/attack that had occurred. And he provided an image of leadership that would help to inspire and reassure New Yorkers, and many others countrywide, that America was still standing.
That is not a legacy that most self-aware human beings would take lightly. Or one they would carelessly throw away. It was a legacy that he did not own personally, but one that he shared with all Americans. And then, this year, he tossed that legacy into a rancid sewer which was the equivalent of telling most of us to fuck off. He did that by backing a man for president, Donald Trump, who is the embodiment of virtually everything that is the antithesis of what any American president, or decent human being, should be.
Guiliani can step into that election booth and cast his ballot for whomever he wants to vote for. However, when he spends months doing interviews, ads, appearances at rallies, spewing out lies, venom and deadly poison, while depositing huge heaps of unconstitutional shit on our TV screens, he needs to be called to task for it. He needs to be denounced, abhorred, and shunned by decent human beings.
Here's the most recent puke that seeped out of his mouth:
Giuliani, a former U.S. attorney and associate attorney general, appeared on Fox Newss Hannity Thursday night, where he and host Sean Hannity rehashed the various crimes they believed Clinton to be guilty of. Hannity instructed his shows team to put on screen what he called Rudys list, which details the specific crimes Giuliani feels he could win a verdict against Clinton on, including bribery, conspiracy, false statements, obstruction of justice and perjury.

Here's my final thought about Rudolph Guiliani. This is a man who, at a horrible moment, had assured himself an honorable place in American history. And then he turned around and took a huge crap on it.
Me.

(15,035 posts)the whores who own the TV channels evidently don't care about that. They are giving Guiliani, Gingritch and every other shit peddler air time. Why? Because it increases their revenues. Programming managers and their bosses don't give a rat's ass about the well being of America. They are driven by profits.
That's what they do. That's who they are.
