General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI got an e-mail from the Hillary campaign saying
according to Nate Silver Trump is ahead in like all the battleground states. I haven't been seeing any poll results here and the optimism seems to have died. Are we going to lose this?

(1,384 posts)And Nate Silver, even in his trolling, said no such thing. I'm sure the email didn't "quite" say that either. He has said it is close, something's the campaign is using now to keep you scared and make sure you'll vote. Just vote, we're fine.

(16,844 posts)This is silly. I'll ask Skinner to delete my account if she loses. He has such a narrow path to victory; she has math on her side.

(92,190 posts)was that silver said trump has a 1 in 3 chance, and Hillary has a 2 in 3 chance to win. There is nothing about battle ground states.
The last message I received from the campaign was today, was the following:
"We're making our final GOTV push before Tuesday. Chip in [X dollars] automatically with your saved payment info to make sure we can reach every voter"
For the last five days I have also been doing call banking into swing states to GOTV. The campaign is taking nothing for granted.

Anyone who isn't worried is a moron.
His craziness has moved the rock and let out a Goddamn ARMY of crazy hatred that scares the absolute shit out of me. That's not me being negative or boo hoo. I'm not a concern troll. I'm a goddamn American with some functioning brain cells and the world is scary. These people and their hatred is real. Do not be complacent. Do not believe this is a done deal. Do not relax. We need to fight for every last vote. Make calls. Donate money. Talk to people.
Do.
Not.
Quit.
These people are fucking dangerous. And there's nothing okay about that.

(92,190 posts)other analysts who have also been doing this for sometime with a very good record indicate an even higher margin of win for Hillary.
In addition, now that the FBI has said there was nothing to the emails from Hillary, that news has not factored into the election. The polls probably won't have time to reflect what effect that will do, but the actual election will.
I won't go on a state by state basis, but it doesn't look bad for Hillary. We need to GOTV
If you can volunteer tomorrow and on election at the nearest Democratic headquarters that could make a big difference

(18,402 posts)It said (in the opening):
XX, as of yesterday, Florida, North Carolina, Nevada, Ohio, and Iowa were all trending toward Trump, per Nate Silver -- thats 74 (!) electoral votes in danger.
This race is coming down to the wire, so I want to clear something up: Your dollars absolutely still matter.
Look, they wan't you to send money, so they make it sound dire. I deplore this, but all candidates do it. Frankly, Hillary Clinton's emails have been, for the most part, more straightforward and less annoying than a lot of the others I get, and a lot I've gotten in previous years.
