What New Voting Laws Will GOP Try After This Election.

Maybe they will want to outlaw the Democratic Party. Who knows what other extreme measures the GOP will adopt if all this other bullshit does not work. What will they add to the obstruction to voting.

I know they want to make all primaries open with no party affiliation and make the top two candidates put on the ballot. The idea is that they can flood the primary with Republicans to that only two GOPPERS end up on ballots with no Democrats. They also want laws where party primaries must include non affiliated voters.

We know the GOP will do all it can to make sure only GOPPERS have access to the polls.

Most states have made changes to driver's licenses and other personal ID's to meet hose new requirements that go into place at the end of next year. Some have not. But with a uniform ID available, all states should have the same voting laws.

As it is, the candidate with the most statewide votes wins all of a state's electors. What the GOP wants to do is break that up so each elector is selected independently by a congressional district. With the current gerrymandering it means that a district which represents a small population (e.g., rural) will get one elector, as will a district that includes a lot of (usually minority) voters, which will also get one elector. Had this system been in place four years ago, Romney would have won, even though he lost the national popular vote, and also lost the cumulative state votes for which Obama was awarded all that state's electors.
