Hillary was more of a #criminal# than Donald Trump?

People do not like the idea of voting for a “criminal”. Donald Trump, with the help of the media, was able to brand Hillary Clinton as a criminal. “Lock her up!” was a frequent chant at his rallies and he encouraged it further. He said that she should be in jail. It was the talk of daily “negative” polls that showed Hillary Clinton was less honest and less trustworthy than Donald Trump. The media promoted this story endlessly.

There are many reasons put forth as to why Hillary and the Democrats lost the election. But, in my opinion, the “criminal” charge was the one issue that Hillary was not able to overcome. And the media pushed it every day. Now, they dare not take any responsibility for the situation in which we now find ourselves. The deadly proposition that both candidates are equally bad did not leave an option for voters. It was the media’s fault, regardless if they choose to ignore it.

There are other reasons that Hillary lost but this was the main reason, in my opinion. The last vestiges of the DLC chose to ignore the followers and the ideas of the Sanders campaign and the concerns of the working people of this country, in favor of “white college graduates” and assorted “special interest” groups. No doubt, that was a big part of the failure of the Democratic Party to connect with the common people.

The very idea that Trump was able to manipulate the media into reporting on the criminality of Hillary Clinton and over-looking the real questions about the connections of Donald Trump, was an attack upon the Achilles heel of the American media. It worked in the campaign and it continues to work as the dictator consolidates his power in our nation’s Capitol
