The feckless media is largely to blame for this giant debacle we are now facing.

With a few exceptions, journalists by and large ceded their duty to properly vet presidential candidates. Cable let Trump's hate rallies run uninterrupted, sometimes for 60 minutes at a time. The TV networks wanted the eyeballs from Trump's rallies. He said something offensive at nearly every one of them, which whipped up the crowd and drew clicks when the videos were reposted on social media.

While focusing nonstop on Hillary's emails, journalists let Trump's taxes slide, along with his horrible comments on Muslims, women, Hispanics, you name it. In other elections, just one of Trump's offensive comments would have been career-ending. Here, in this now upside-down world, the worst he said, the more the media and his brainwashed supporters loved him. Why else would his female voters say all those sexual assault victims we're just "making it up?" Notice how fast the media dropped those stories? Because EMAILS!

This tells me that no Democrat should EVER disclose tax or medical records ever again. Simply point to this election and say "Trump didn't, and neither will I." No longer will past business dealings matter. There should never be a discussion on conflicts of interests. Hillary Clinton's foundation was dragged through the mud based on GOP swiftboating. Now, Trump stands to make billions of dollars via his place in the White House and by letting his kids "secretly" run his business. Don't worry, they won't tell him anything about it.

Farenthold and Eichenwald are the two journalists that did the heavy lifting for EVERYONE this cycle. I hope some more journalists wake up to the fact that they better sack up and ask the hard questions, because our republic is at stake. We're facing an unmitigated disaster here. That's not hyperbole, it's fact and it's coming fast.
