Trump will either resign or be a one term president

I say resign if all the lawsuits against him hurt him politically, but even if he survives I think he will not seek a second term. Why? 1) His age. 2) I don't think he will find the presidency all that much fun 3) He will want to get back to direct control of his corporation

My guess is that we will be facing either President Pence or VP Pence in 2020. Pence is just as bad or even more dangerous than Trump, imo.

His cabinet positions need Senate approval and that's not a done deal even with the GOP controlling both houses of Congress. There are going to be endless investigations. For a change, legitimate ones. It's going to be one big hot mess for the next 4 years.

Investigations are started by the majority party in the Senate or the House. Trump will have to do something really egregious for the Republicans to investigate their own.... Or the Democrats will have to take back the Senate in 2018.

He doesn't have a clue what the position of POTUS entails and he is utterly ill equipped to learn. All he wanted, from the start, was the title. He is going to try to 'delegate' all of the responsibilities to members of his cartel. I predict things will start to fall apart within months.

The presidency isn't about attending giant rallies in your honor but about hard work, reading and interpreting policy for the nation. Very bookish stuff. Since it's said that Trump never has finished a book in his life, I don't think that he'll be able to cope.

This is all boring to him now.
I think he will resign because his conflicts of interests will force him to,because to remedy those conflicts will cost him millions.

One thing we have all learned from this though, is that our Democracy is not as secure as we thought and the Nazi's were able to take over pretty damn easily.

Lets see how the corporate Democrats react to all this after Jan 20th.

Neither would please me, either. If he quits, in many ways Pence is worse IMNSHO. I'm not sure that Trump and the Repubs can fuck up the red states that elected him enough to overcome the coming tidal wave of voter suppression. Repubs are still working for their permanent ruling party. Plus they still have the RW media echo chamber that somehow manages to blame everything on liberalism.

Hard not to think we're decidely fucked.

My hope is that Trump will be too indifferent and too ignorant to get anything done that isn't smacked down by the courts very quickly.

that whatever is in that now secret Pence email must be a game changer as Pence plans to go back to Indiana.
Also keep in mind that the security clearances he wants for his kids will require a lot of financial disclosures.
When they learn that, they probably won't be helping him.
And he'll be stuck in the White House without being able to go home.
New York doesn't want 5th Avenue blocked off.
And the White House is a crummy old house compared to what he's used to.
Melania will have a hard time finding a special school for Barron in D.C., so she'll probably be living in New York.
Add your favorite thing.

Trump's fanboys aren't, by and large, in Congress to reign in an out-of-control Pence AND some of them are much more closely aligned wtih Pence's dangerous policy ideas than they are with Trump's (to the extent anyone has a clue what Trump's policies are . . .).

For one thing, CEO-style personalities are going to have trouble handling the self-sacrifice that comes with public service.

I heard a joke going around the internet that Trump is going to have trouble living in the White House because he would be downsizing in living quarters.

Every gay and lesbian person who are married will be suddenly be single and it will embolden those who hate them to move against all people suspected of being Gay or Lesbian. People will be able to refuse them service, keep them out of restaurants, not even allow them to buy gas, and can fire them from their jobs.

Places like San Francisco will become a safe haven, but that only means a huge population surge on this city, with housing becoming even more scarce and rents going up by greedy landlords. California will take an influx of people coming from places that hate and resent the LGBT community.

If Pence and the Republicans create new laws against the LGBT community, not even places like California will be immune.
