Trump transition team asked about security clearance for his children

Washington (CNN)President-elect Donald Trump's transition team asked the government about the possibility of getting Donald Jr., Eric and Ivanka Trump, along with Jared Kushner, his right-hand man and Ivanka Trump's husband, permission to receive top security clearance, according to a transition source.

But the inquiry, which was first published by CBS News, has not yet led to any action. Trump campaign spokesman Jason Miller said no official request has been made.

"The President-elect has not requested security clearance for any family members and no paperwork has been submitted to this effect. Any reporting otherwise is inaccurate," Miller said Thursday.

Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway told news outlets Wednesday that she didn't have specific details on security clearance, but that if it was requested, then it appeared to be informal.

it would certainly be good from a financial standpoint to be among the first to get world affecting information from daddy or his accomplices and be able to use it as a business tool. And after all making money any way possible is what the trump family is all about.

Ones with a TSC as a requirement.

I can't imagine he'd be doing this for the dinner table.

All but fruitless to point out the hypocrisy of the supporters of the White Nationalists' House. The hypocrisy is obvious to anyone with a single ethical bone in their body and Trump's supporters don't care - they'll just spin their hypocrisy into a virtue.

That such could be allowed is just plain wrong. But then look at who we are talking about.

Anyone that attempts to "normalize" Trump (and I do approve of that framing) is doing more harm than good.

People acclimated themselves to many of Shrub's actions and those horrible acts became the new normal. Abuses to civil liberties became more acceptable. Now some will do the same with Trump, and each time that happens, America will regress more and more.

There is no such thing as a peaceful transfer of power to a white nationalist. There just isn't.
