Poor Starbucks. We owe them an apology.

They are taking the brunt of the right-wing idiocy right now. On Facebook there's a post that is going around suggesting to people to give the name "Trump" at Starbucks so they'll have to yell it out. When they do, "watch everyone break down and cry."

But, I think this fellow took that joke one step too far:

1. I have no sympathy for monopolists, especially ones that serve burnt coffee as something normal.

All coffee must be burnt!!! And we are going to sell it all.

Fuck Starbucks. Their coffee sucks. But if that weren't bad enough, they don't want anybody else to sell coffee.

2. i know a friend of the family on FB

the person who did this is mentally ill and off his meds. he can't even vote, legally (ex-felon). the family is distraught, as this is just one further insane episode in a lifetime of horror, trying to deal with a family member who needs mental health care but can't access it.

doesn't excuse his behavior. it makes the whole situation even more ugly and horrid. ultimately it's not him dealing with the fallout, it's the family. and they've been shouting from the rooftops since he got sick that they needed mental health care, and couldn't get it. he's been in a ton of trouble -- this is simply the one that went viral.

it's sickening.
