After meeting, Tulsi Gabbard vows to work with Trump

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) vowed to work with Donald Trump on the issues that matter to the American people, following a meeting between the two Monday at Trump Tower.

She did not, however, comment on whether she would join his administration.

Gabbard and Trump met in New York City to discuss U.S. policy in Syria, she said in a statement, though some have speculated she is under consideration to be the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.
"President-elect Trump asked me to meet with him about our current policies regarding Syria, our fight against terrorist groups like al-Qaeda and [the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria], as well as other foreign policy challenges we face," Gabbard said.

She is taking an opportunity to infiltrate his administration. We need our people to try to have some influence or at least know what is happening behind the scenes.

Trump wants a couple of Quisling Democrats to put the "bi-partisan' varnish on his fuck-ups. And our Tulsi is more than happy to oblige him.

So, you've been in on the national security briefings and strategies that have yet to take place? He's going to be secretive. We need to at least try to have some infiltrators. I'm assuming the worst of Trump. Throw it all in the trash if you want, but if we have some allies in the inner circle it may minimize the damage. Kind of like how some of Obama's appointments helped protect big banks.

She suddenly did a heel-turn.

You may think people like Putin and Bannon and the "Alt Right" didn;t set up certain things in this election. TG is one of them. Fox in the henhouse.

He's trying to be civil and offer some education on the off chance some will get through. It would be stupid not to.

Surely none of the spite in this thread has anything to do with her cam endorsement.

She is a long-time bigot.

Shameful of you to compare her to President Obama.

"Spite" -- lololololololololol

This has nothing to do with Bernie. Most of us aren't myopic and spiteful. This isn't JPR.

The point here for those absorbed in personality shit is that someone who has been on our side at least as much as Joe Manchin is in a position to possibly plant bugs in the ears of the opposition.
I wonder if the people who call her a bigot notice have defended anyone who used the language "Islamic extremism"?

We should do what we can to play the game while resisting. It is just downright stupid to throw in the towel without making some effort to operate on the inside. People who advocate that are selling us all out as much as the 46% non voters.
