Fox News posts article about Trump tax cuts rewarding 1%ers while boning middle class.

It showed up a few minutes ago on Facebook.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/11/27/analysis-for-some-in-middle-class-trump-plan-would-mean-tax-increase.html

The article is a back-and-forth "yes you will, no we won't" clusterfuck in which financial experts lay out the numbers and Trump's team denies them.

Trump's numbers are far less brutal than what Ryan is proposing,,,with Ryan, the 1%ers get 47% of the money on day one and 96% of it in a decade, and he intends to gut Medicaid and Social Security to pay for it.

But the reason for this post is to share the fact that Fox News actually posted an article with the title "Analysis: For some in middle class, Trump plan would mean tax increase."

Since most single parent households are headed by women, it seems that this might be another effort to harm women and children.

The only reason they give a shit about the "unborn" is to get the evangelical fetus-fondling God-botherers in the so-called "pro-life" movement on their side so they can get tax cuts! That's the only thing they really care about.

Saint Reagan said he was pro-life. Did he ever lift a finger to make that happen? Nope. But he got his tax cuts.

The Reich has convinced the bigots and imbeciles to commit economic and social suicide for the greater glory of tax cuts.

Specifically women who exercise their reproductive rights and sexual agency. Or even women who are in dire and desperate circumstances. Which is true of many single mothers and women who get abortions.

Clearly the best and only way to help poor people is by taking away their basic needs.

Actually that is a lot of women's issues. The women I know that married so-called Christian men, we're happier when they got divorced. Of course the Republican men claim to be so-called Christians and that is definitely not a ringing endorsement.

Most married couples with three or more children would also pay higher taxes, an analysis by the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center found. And while middle-class families as a whole would receive tax cuts of about 2 percent, they'd be dwarfed by the windfalls averaging 13.5 percent for America's richest 1 percent.

Right now, a single parent with $75,000 in income and two children can claim a head of household deduction of $9,300, plus three personal exemptions. Those steps would reduce the household's taxable income by $21,450, to $53,550.

Trump's plan would more than double the standard deduction to $15,000. But that change would be outweighed by his elimination of personal exemptions and head-of-household status. So the family's taxable income would be $60,000, and their tax bill would be $2,440 more than it is now.

A married couple with four children and income of $50,000 would absorb a tax increase of $1,090 because of their loss of personal exemptions.

see that as a good thing? Even the most dull and ignorant ones exist at a semi-conscious level where they will instantly be shocked that they owe more money, or get a far smaller return.

Also, how could they blame us (Dems), as it is the REPUBLICANS who will have increased their taxes by taking away exemptions. Perhaps I am being naive, but I cannot possibly relate to anyone that truly stupid.

Their president will blame Pres. Obama for all of HIS failures. He'll say the reason their taxes are going up go up, or because their health insurance is rap is because of the horrible economy the President left him and he had no choice but to raise THEIR taxes (A lie of course--Obama cleaned up Dubya's Depression Era mess of an economy). They'll agree, and well (Guess the tRump Nazis were too busy protecting those guns Pres. Obama never took away form them and yelling "Lock her up" and "trump that b***h" or "whatever" to notice.&quot .

Yep, the truly uneducated, deplorables, old people, Rust Belters, women etc. who voted for this lying, racist, sexually assaulting jack ass will suffer, as will the REST of us who saw right through his lies/crap.

Historically true, and since Trump has publicly boasted of being the "king of debt" I expect nothing less than increasing deficits for his entire term. With a bit of work, I'm sure the Repubs can add another $10T to the nat debt in 4 years.

If the economy doesn't tank in 4 years, it won't be from lack of Repub effort.

Sun Nov 27, 2016, 03:47 PM

Under Reagan, the rich got much richer and it bought him a ton of good publicity, but the deficit skyrocketed, the poor and the middle class were hurt and we got Antonin Scalia on the Court, and William Rehnquist as Chief Justice. However, the economy also had a big stimulus because Reagan greatly increased the defense budget and the short term effect was an economic boost that gave Reagan an easy re-election.

Trump is taking a page out of that book - increased defense spending and increased infrastructure spending will be good for the economy. However, tax breaks for the rich, repealing Obamacare (hurts the poor & middleclass), privatizing Medicare, etc will hurt the poor and middle class and the deficits will skyrocket.

But, nobody really cares about the deficits or the debt, except a few hundred Republicans in Congress when there is a Democrat in the White House.

You could see this coming by the Slugs that surrounded Trump during the Campaign. But,what the heck,MSM told the people, the Guy was this terrific Change Agent. And many bought into it because they were to lazy to check the facts.

You just can not make this crap up. All those might is right Seniors and Union folks who voted for Thin Skin Donnie will get their wake up call on April 15 2018,and it is not going to be pretty.

at least the first 4 paragraphs and the last one -- that's all I checked. So why doesn't Fox credit the AP?

https://www.yahoo.com/news/middle-class-trump-plan-mean-tax-increase-153628510--finance.html

The above link also has a graphic a short way down the page, showing the gain in after-tax income of the top 0.1%, top 1%, and all 5 quintiles, i.e.

14.2% Top 0.1%
13.5% Top 1%
6.6% Top fifth
2.2% 2nd fifth
1.8% middle fifth
1.2% 4th fifth
0.8% lowest fifth

Although the graphic includes a bar chart which is much more dramatic.

Yet all independent analyses show most of the benefit flowing to the wealthiest Americans. Nearly half of Trump's tax cuts would go to the top 1 percent of earners, the Tax Policy Center found. Less than a quarter of the cuts would benefit the bottom 80 percent.

For middle-income earners as a whole, the Trump proposals would cut taxes, even taking into account the increases on single-parent families. Those earning nearly $50,000 to about $83,000 — the middle one-fifth — would receive an average cut of $1,010, according to the Tax Policy Center. That would lift their after-tax incomes 1.8 percent.

By contrast, the wealthiest 1 percent — those earning over $700,000 — would enjoy a tax cut averaging nearly $215,000, boosting their after-tax incomes 13.5 percent. And the richest 0.1 percent — those making above $3.7 million — would receive a bonanza: An average tax cut exceeding $1 million.
