WTH Koch Brothers Want To SHUT DOWN PRIVATIZE VA. Turn VA Care To Private Insurance Voucher.

Just on Rachel Maddow. Individual running Koch front group Concerned Veterans Of American meeting with Trump Tuesday. It is the mission of the Koch brothers and their allies to shut down the Veteran's Administration and turn veterans' health care system into a voucher system. Disabled veterans will get to buy private insurance on the market.

According to Rachel the Koch brothers and their organization is pointing out a crisis in the VA while they are purposely driving the crisis.

NOTHING IS SACRED. I really hate fucking Trump voters for what they have done.

I am a Vietnam veterans who worked with veterans programs at DOL. I am furious. THE KOCH BROTHERS WORKING AT TAKING AWAY VETERANS HEALTH CARE.

who I've heard but can't confirm was in the right place at the right time to apparently make himself and some buddies into super rich oligarchs off privatizing Soviet state assets when the Soviet Union collapsed. Maybe Trump and Republicans are sucking up to Pooty to get some tips on how it's done.

It makes me absolutely sick how all these millionaires and billionaires want to do is go after the most vulnerable people in society. Their level of evil just astounds me. How fucking dare they!

4. As A Veteran I Have Been Following The Situation For A Year Or So.

Actually dismantling the VA was started under Bush. The GOP considers veterans benefits like welfare. They see our wounded and disabled as takers and NOT makers. So this idea has been around for a number of years. Here are the changes that they want. And they will have Trump's ear. And the changes go much farther than just the VA.

Here are the changes they are pushing for VA and the Military.

1. Close VA and turn health care for the wounded into a voucher program.
2. Take TriCare for retirees turn that into a voucher program as well.
3. Privatize military service health by contracting out medical care like MASH units. Medical care in combat zone private.
4. Change military retirement for defined benefit into a 401K system with eligibility at 59 1/2.
5. No more 50% pay with 20 years if service.
6. Turn VA hospitals over to private sector and make it for profit.

6. This just breaks my heart. It's so wrong. They think nothing of deploying soldiers for their

stupid wars, but when it comes time to support them and take care of them once they return home they treat them like deadbeats.

My brother was just deployed to Mosul AGAIN! He's young and healthy now, but god forbid anything happens over there.

I am sorry for your troubles as well. This is just all so tragic and feels so unfair.

We cannot let the reich wing and the news media control the language to make this seem ok or even good.

Privatizing the VA, Medicare/Medicaid, social security etc means the destruction of these programs for most of the Americans that depend on them.

The facts are that the fiasco at Walter Reed hospital was traced to fuckups in the privatized areas being handled by civilian contractors.

Privatization is only "better" for the profiteers. Essentially, they want to go back to post Civil War era policies.
