The danger of following the crazy is that eventually you go crazy also.

To get up each morning and try to rationalize why your leader has said or done something crazy will eventually drive you insane. The dripping water torture of fear and irrationality will soon take its toll. For the sake of sanity, we must distance ourselves from the daily assaults on our conscience and better judgement. We cannot feed the beast and expect anything other than a monster.

the media will expect and demand that the next president conform with what, until now, has been "normal" for any US president. Until then, all rules of sanity and ethics have been duly suspended by the media.

War is peace. Crazy is normal.

I'm not saying that we shouldn't follow the actions of this incoming administration. But we need to save our energies for fighting the things they do one by one, in a singular and focused way, as actions are proposed or begin to happen. Otherwise, we will be playing whack-a-mole. (We tried that during the Bush administration, and it didn't work.)

In the meantime, to preserve sanity, and stay balanced enough to be rational, read the paper once a day for the facts of what is happening, and then:

1. Read a nice book
2. Stream a nonviolent movie
3. Knit
4. Winterize your garden
5. Watch a sporting event
6. Talk to your kids
7. Volunteer at a food bank or school
8. Cook something wonderful or new in your kitchen
9. Open a bottle of wine
10. Get a good night's rest

And concentrate on your own work, and being really really good at it.

I know I sure as hell am not.

He is a known liar.

The fact checkers couldn't keep up with his lies.

He is disgusting.

He is rude.

He is arrogant.

He is purposefully deceitful.

He is a tax dodge.

He is a lousy failed businessman.

He always shafts his contractors.

He is a crybaby unless everyone is kissing his fat orange ass.

He is racist.

He degrades women and treats them like different grades of meat.

He pretends to be religious.

He sickens me.

He does not have a single redeemable quality or attribute.

They have shown that they are willing to overlook the crazy. They cannot maintain their defense and keep their sanity.

They are all insane and evil.

They are using Trump as a tool to get a Corporate controlled Christian Theocracy.

He will get richer and they will get their religious theocracy.
