My favorite indie cafe in my little town was vandalized last night.

Someone threw a rock through the window and painted racist graffiti on the storefront. There was also a racist message spray-painted on a family owned Mexican restaurant down the street from the first cafe. This news has been circulating via neighborhood message boards. Local news has not reported on it yet.

A community meeting has been called for tomorrow among town folks and members of the city council to discuss our continued commitment of civil rights and inclusion. I plan to attend.
