The whole thing is beautiful. Go there. Right now. If it weren't for the Three Problems San Francisco has (housing prices through the roof, homes three-eighths of an inch apart, and vertical streets) I would be moving there tomorrow morning.

that modern telecommunication and internet structure makes it difficult
for dictators to get up a head of steam. Mentally, try to impose the internet
on 1930s Germany, and see how the fear and lack of international information
with closed borders just melts away. Open communication has toppled the
Berlin Wall, the U.S.S.R., Eastern Europe, aided Polish Solidarity, and roiled
the Middle East. Donald Trump's dictatorship will be no match for freedom
fighting people's everywhere, especially grass roots U.S.A. Even some
Tea Party Patriots will turncoat when they learn they've been sold to
Wall Street and lobbyist-held Washington just like before.
