to me has just lived such a compartmentalized life that he
doesn't know enough about the world or the diverse range of
people with expertise that he is turning to only the people he has
met and cultivated. I don't say they're not bright enough in their own
way, or successful, but aside from the former governors, they are so
outside the range of people who have experience running government
for the public good. So I'm anticipating this administration as high risk
for surprises, problems, conflict, poor decisions, and foreign policy will be
a real adventure. It's like a giant party of "Heckuva job Brownies!" - people
too novice to be assuming the positions for which they are nominated.

Trump's older brother Fred drank himself to death in his 40s, which Trump has said has made him never drink. Romney is a devout Mormon, whose tenets prohibit alcohol consumption.

Now Reince Priebus was at that table and he definitely drinks. But he was cropped out of that picture, as were the other tables next to them. I suspect that champagne bucket belongs to the neighboring table since I doubt Priebus ordered a whole bottle of champagne just for himself.

It is much more likely that a group of plutocrats at the neighboring table in that ridiculously expensive restaurant are celebrating one of their own stealing the presidency.

I never said all people of upper income in New York, or anywhere, support Trump. But the people in that room with him that night sure look like they did, much like the cheering rich assholes at that steak house he promised tax cuts to after he was declared the electoral college winner.

There are plenty of good, decent rich people. Certainly not all rich people are plutocrats, but those in Trump's orbit are.
