MANCHIN is in the running for Energy Secty? West Va gov & gov-elect are Dems.

My miniscule knowledge of W. Va is that it's not exactly fertile for Dems. The incoming Dem gov is a "businessman" - hmmm?

1. Manchin is certainly in the running for the farthest right of the Democratic Senators.

3. I cannot say. I live in Illinois and know about Manchin only by reading about him.

But it is a Southern state with a plantation style coal economy. Traveling through on the highways it looks beautiful, but a lot of the mountains have been destroyed and water sources ruined.

4. Justice is a coal barron and whoever replaces Manchin will be a Republican

that is what Manchin is anyway.
