Trump is an obnoxious asshole. Unfortunately, I think many Trump supporters are OK with that.

Many people, apparently, think that being an obnoxious, mean, hateful, loudmouth bully means that
you are STRONG.

I believe this is true in any century.

Birds of a feather and all that.

As a side note, I have dropped three long time friends since they voted for someone who wishes harm on my family and friends. At some point it would have erupted into a very bad scene since I will no longer passively tolerate right wing republican bullshit just to keep peace.

I would fear having frog legs for dinner?

Everyone is either supportive of him or they are opposed to him? There is no middle ground. That is his nature. That is the way he will lead.

Remember when "professor" was used as an insult against Sen. Elizabeth Warren?
"She's a Professor! That means she's an out-of-touch elitist and knows nothing about what's actually going on!"

Face it. US culture has settled this long ago:
The heroes are brutal guys who can't talk for shit and fight honorably with raw power.
The villains are effeminate guys who care about art and manners and fight dishonorably with clever tricks.

An example I recently read about: The Griswold Christmas-movie with Chevy Chase
The villains are:
- the boss of the big company
- the snobbish, childless yuppie power-couple from next door who enjoys living their own life and ignoring old-fashioned american traditions

they would have to admit that their opinion of Trump prior to 2016 was lower that of Hillary.
