Let us remember this number: 4.6%

That is the unemployment rate as Obama prepares to leave office. Those are pretty decent numbers. If Republicans can create or keep those numbers going for the next four years, regardless how much government spending they introduce, they will gloat and tell people what a great economy they have created.

Also, generally speaking, the economy does worse under Republicans than under Democrats. Let's not forget 4.6% unemployment and a pretty damn good economy.

And understand that when the spending goes up, interest rates may increase also? Which means that there may be more inflation? Which means your present salary is worth less than before inflation?

There are many ways to measure whether our economy is doing better, stay about the same, or getting worse?

Another huge tax cut for the wealthiest, and huge government spending on infrastructure, could create very large deficits, that would have a strong negative impact on our entire economy.

I remember seeing cars with stickers showing the gas price when Obama took office. Of course, they were low because we were in a near-depression and nobody was using energy, but it didn't matter to the RWNJs. I predict that, like W, gas and energy prices are going to skyrocket under tRump.

- "Yes, the unemployment rate is up since Trump took office, but that's because Obama's job-programs for illegal immigrants have been stopped."

- "Yes, the unemployment rate is up since Trump took office, but that doesn't matter because the public sentiment is way up: The messenger makes all the difference and what's really important here is not some numbers but the enthusiasm about the impending economic growth that will come any minute now. And I would say it's really damaging the economy when the biased mainstream-media keeps talking about the unemployment-rate over and over again. What America needs is some positive thinking! The mainstream-media is sabotaging the economy by talking about how bad the economy is!!! Why aren't they reporting on how great the economy is????? If they would just report that everything is fine then things would be fine in no time!!!!!!!"
