and grotesque misogyny:

http://www.cnn.com/2016/04/17/asia/philippines-election-rodrigo-duterte-gang-rape-comments/

" (CNN)Philippines presidential hopeful Rodrigo Duterte has refused to apologize after his controversial comments on gang rape.
A YouTube video appeared over the weekend of Duterte joking about the 1989 rape and murder of an Australian missionary that took place in Davao City, in the country's southeast, where he is mayor, CNN Philippines reported.

"I was angry she was raped, yes that was one thing. But she was so beautiful, I think the mayor should have been first. What a waste," he said, according to a CNN Philippines translation of the comments."....

Yep, he's gonna shake up decades of gridlock.

BTW - the last time the media obsessed about a "bold" leader was W, who boldly took us into an illegal war and boldly wrecked the economy. That was after he boldly ignored the warnings that Bin Laden was determined to attack the US.

home of 1.3 billion people and the #2 economy in the world. Yesterday was India, home of 1.2 billion people and a rising economy. So, in two days, he's pissed off 35% of the world's population.

What happens when it moves beyond pissing them off? India & Pakistan is potentially a nuclear situation.

for him know he's mentally dysfunctional. When possible he'll get something of an idiot pass. Like his faux pas in talking with Taiwan--regardless of whatever stance China takes, how alarmed and offended can they really be?

Leaders will try to take advantage, of course, but I imagine a lot of them will also be joining us in cleaning up after our un-house-trained leader. Whatever works for the moment.
