Be quiet Sarah! Don't let anyone know that Republicans don't really believe in free market capitalism!
Snip:
But she goes onto to blast the deal as crony capitalism" and an example of the "hallmark of corruption" and "socialism."
When government steps in arbitrarily with individual subsidies, favoring one business over others, it sets inconsistent, unfair, illogical precedent, Palin wrote. Then, special interests creep in and manipulate markets. Republicans oppose this, remember?
Instead, we support competition on a level playing field, remember? Because we know special interest crony capitalism is on big fail.
Just ahead of Trumps formal announcement of the deal at the Carrier plant in Indianapolis on Thursday, the Wall Street Journal reported that Carrier would receive $7 million in tax breaks over 10 years in order to keep the 1,100 jobs in Indiana.

(28,930 posts)from the get go and as his popularity falters she puts herself in a position to take the mantle of the real outsider against crony capitalism. With Trump running on how he would drain the swamp then not following through, she can be there to back stab him every time he is fucking up and position herself as the true blue conservative with "morals". Not a bad strategy.

(449 posts)It's like asking if poodle poop would be better to eat than husky poop.
Then again, I'm guessing poodle poop would be a better choice (based on weight).
I'd say yes because I think Trump is out to lunch cognitively. I think he's been relying on his children, and others, for a long time to make his decisions for him. Which is why his current pit crew is so dangerous - because they can manipulate without him realizing, or admitting, it's happening.

(89,248 posts)for . remember that she was governor .
her positions are wrong and she is an idiot . but i don't think she would purposely use her position to try to personally profit . and she wouldn't personally go after those who don't like her.
she is an idiot for sure but she also isn't immature the way trump is. she isn't going to do the "he was mean to me first" thing.

(6,496 posts)I actually think she is more likable, less divisive, more honest, more respectable, more reasonable, and more reliable in comparison to Trump. I don't like most of her positions on issues, but I still like her better than Trump. Palin would still not be my choice for president, but I think she would do less harm than Trump.

(5,204 posts)She got a lot of shit for upping the oil severance fee to 25% in Alaska. Compare to California, which has 0%, and in 2006 the voters voted down a modest 1.5-6% tax.
