(293 posts)I buy some of the small cheap and burn them. It isn't something I would normally do, I am just saying "up yours" to the people who want to reduce our freedoms.
Real flag burning is am indicator that there is indeed problems in our country and leaders should take heed to a very serious protest. It is like a thermometer that shows the amount of anger. Flag burning as a demonstration can stall the major steps of destruction like destruction of property.

(36,461 posts)It had wooden sides & a small American flag, dirty and ragged, stapled to the wood. I drive by a bank that flys a flag that is also dirty & ragged. This flag is out at night without a light & during the rain & snow. Last year my brother-in-law got a pair of flag underwear as a joke, and the other day I saw a flag decal pasted on a restaurant bathroom trash bin. There is even a photo of George W Bush signing a flag with a pen. But hey, don't dare burn it!
