Satire: Trump Constitutional Attorneys Write New Draft for 1st Amendment.

The original First Amendment has been deemed outdated by Donald Trump's Constitutional Experts. A new version of it will be presented to Congress for passage and ratification by the states. "It differs in some minor ways from the orginal, but preserves the original intent of its creators," said one of the editors, who asked that his name not be revealed. Below is the original form of the First Amendment, followed by the rewritten, modernized All-American version:

Original First Amendment
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Trumped-Up First Amendment
"The appointed GOP Congress shall make many laws prohibiting disrespect for Christianity, and prohibiting the exercise of all other religions; and allowing only freedom of speech, and of the press, that agrees with Donald Trump, President for Life, and his heirs and assigns. All assemblies of more than 12 people, except for approved Christian worship, are defined as non-peaceable, and petitioning the government shall be limited to such petitions as support presidential policy."

Replace "Congress shall make...." in the otherwise excellently written new version, with "the permanent GOP majority in Congress shall make...".

The Founders always intended that the conservatives be permanently in control. Antonin Scalia told me this during a séance just the other day.
