I think the Internet will be greatly curtailed once Trump is in office.

They will declare war on free speech, including the mainstream media. Internet blogs will also be under threat.

The DNC hacks, along with DU and others, were just a hint of what is to come.

People will fear to speak for sake of retaliation. The present reality could change very quickly.

The propaganda effort is very strong. There is no escape from it.

We have witnessed a taste of it already.

election really felt like the first inklings - first DU went down, then our local (Madison WI) progressive talk station switched abruptly to ALL CHRISTMAS MUSIC and who knows what it will be after Xmas. Never mind that it was like the top revenue producing progressive talk in the US.

9. FIRST, They will start blocking certain websites as a temporary measure "for our safety".

Texts, tweets and emails will be temporarily restricted to government officials and trusted businesses after Attorney General Sessions is "Shocked, simply Shocked" to discover that Russians and other malcontents are exploiting security flaws, hacking personal servers and spreading Fake News, possibly even affecting the outcomes of elections. All voting machines will be confiscated and given a Level 12 diagnostic, which will reveal massive hacking. Elections will be temporarily suspended while a more secure system is set up.

Then they will open it up to a few "safe" sites who will only broadcast the official USA news network. By then, the riots in the streets will be met by conscripted Militias operating under martial law. Unfortunately the internet infrastructure and servers will be destroyed during the fighting. Security concerns will prevent utility trucks going into "urban" areas.

When they reconnect us to our favorite gaming and cat video sites we be so scared and hungry that the "Trump Kids" will throw roses in the street so the feet of the glorious leader will not have to touch the ground. Reporters and bloggers will be struck by a wave of patriotism and volunteer to work for free in the fields in order to reconnect to the roots of the "Blessed Christian Founders".

Who will really know or care what happens after that. Who trusts "facts" anymore anyway? Just a bunch of mentally defective troublemakers, liberals and middle eastern extremists, who will start disappearing in the middle of the night, never to be heard from again, except for postcards (no internet) telling their friends that they are doing great and will be back in town soon.

Then will come the announcements that the elections will have to be delayed for just a little bit longer until we can absolutely guarantee that everyone's vote will count.

It's happened before.

I would not doubt they at least try some form of censorship.

Don't you remember that one? Oh yah, that one's popular. Dem 'Freeze Peaches', the call of the silly right-winger braying for the right to say his stupidity, sexism, and racism everywhere.

So, now you think this right is important, huh?

As they say, elections have consequences. So does the past.
