This United Technologies/Carrier deal begs the question I haven't heard asked.....

I haven't read any analysis like this about that deal but this begs the question and maybe I think too much.
United Technologies didn't just decide to invest 16 million the CEO talked about in that plant this week. Things like that don't happen that fast. What that tells me is that those jobs were not going anywhere in the first place. Think about it. Was this just a PR con by UT and Trump? One of two things were going to happen. Either the jobs were never leaving or the plant was going to shut down for a short period of time for an overhaul and then rehire. One or the other.
Now UT will only have to spend 9 million and the taxpayers are picking up the rest of the tab.
Everyone is being played.

Decided months and months ago. That's why Trump kept bringing up Carrier. It was Pence's home state, and no doubt they were hammering out details long ago.

I'm guessing much of the talks were dependent on if Trump wins, when in addition to the 7 million tax bribe, they assured them more lucrative federal contracts.

It was all a scam.
