When/if you watch "It's a Wonderful Life" this year, keep in mind that the part of the US

that voted for Trump most enjoys the part of the movie that shows Pottersville. Living in Pottersville is what they strive for. The end of the movie, when George returns to reality, just depresses the hell out of them.

Think of how sick that is.

Some of Jimmy Stewart's movies had great acting and some were rather homey/cringeworthy.

I showed it a few years ago to a visiting couple from Fiji. At the end both of them were sobbing. I gave them the DVD to take back to Fiji. There daughter said they have shown it the last two years and they are still crying about that wonderful story.

Probably skip that Terry Gilliam movie, though. I am already depressed. Actually, I have a cold and some amount of vertigo.

constantly when I was a teen.

Personally, we love it - but then again we are suckers for old fashioned, well acted, feel-good movies!

I think my wife and I have most of the lines memorized!

This was a favorite of station programmers because the copyright had expired, and it could be broadcast without paying a fee. That's why it was on virtually 24/7.
