...the problem isn't just "fake news." It's fakery 24/7.

Think of all the Clinton "scandals" during Bill's presidency (and before): from "renounced his citizenship" to "trashed the White House", how many of them were complete horseshit? Of the ones that weren't, in how many were Republicans as bad or worse?

Answer: Between the two: all of them. But that doesn't matter, because nobody's job depends on reporting actual facts.
