Scandal, Recession War... Which comes first?

Or maybe you think trump will be a success? I really doubt it myself. I think these three things have been hallmarks of every Republican in my lifetime. I'm betting the order will be Scandal, War, Recession.

Scandal first. He is incapable of avoiding cronyism and ethics violations because he has no concept of the value or existence of these rules beyond what people he pays tell him. Everything has been negotiable so far, why should he change now? Ultimately, this is why the Republicans will impeach him in the hopes of saving themselves. (OK, that might be a bit of a fantasy, but I think an incumbent Pence is more favorable to them than a Trump of any sort.)

War next because he sees conflict as a natural part of negotiating. He'll view the US military the same way he has previously viewed the courts. He has little knowledge and only the men around him restrain his thinking. He has surrounded himself with extremes. That's a bad mix. I expect an accidental situation somewhere to escalate quickly.

Recession. I actually think this will take the longest. There will be so much money rushing into the US economy that has been sidelined out of spite that that will create a short-term boost. Additionally, Republicans spend like a kid on spring break with daddy's charge card. Some of that spending will actually be stimulative. Expansions in infrastructure, not to mention the local district pork wagon will all create short term boost. Lowering regulations, especially in finance and banking will have the same effect, as it did ahead of other bubbles. Of course, since all of this is aimed at exploiting the working class and getting them to run up debt all the while raiding pensions and safety net programs, it will all collapse in a whoosh. Not sure when. Not sure where. I expect real estate to be involved again. So will student debt.

OK, those are my guesses. What say you? What order? War, Recession, Scandal?

Or maybe you have some additional milestones. Climate disaster? Political purge? Coup?Apocalypse?

War is also possible if we fall victim to a major terror attack. Mostly, I'm just expecting a lot of the social and environmental progress we've made over the past 20-30 years to take a hit.

6. Republican economic policies lead to over-speculation which lead to collapse

Happened under Reagan and Bush II. When you give rich people huge tax cuts, they speculate with the additional money which puts pressure on the financial industry to find bigger and bigger returns which then makes them take on more and more risks. The only thing that stops this is regulation which will be done away with in the early days of the Trump presidency.

So, yeah, some sort of speculative bubble is on the immediate horizon.

And unlike the last one, this one isn't going to have a positive outcome. If Trump is removed from office for any reason, that will ignite the brown shirts. The ultra hardcore racists and alt reichers want to see the opposition jailed and killed. They want a race war, and that's why they love Donald Trump because he would give it to them. It's all over Twitter. If a civil war happens it will cause a breakup of the US, we won't be the same again. And I think the rest of the world is going to let us stir in our own juices.

If impeachment hasn't occurred first.

Domestic Terrorism against minorities, liberal groups, and Sanctuary Cities by a few crazed groups within the next six months to a year.
Honestly, it only takes a half a dozen "true believers" with a minimum hair-brained planning to screw with and terrorize hundreds of thousands of people who just want to go about their own business in life, after all. Especially if they're willing to die for their cause - because they feel they have nothing left to lose. There isn't a vocal majority of "deplorables", it's a shrill minority throwing a tantrum in public because they want "respect" - or worship.

War - ehh. Not a major shooting war, but probably some slow mission creep over the next four years, where the majority of the public never learns - and doesn't really care - how many National Guards/Reservists are being sent out to some 3rd world hellhole to protect Putin's - err - Trump's - err - US/Global Corporate interests. The "US" won't be at war, but there will still be a war on "heathen" brown people we don't like and can't make a profit off of.
I don't think the nuclear button will ever get pushed (most generals are not total idiots - Drumphf nominees notwithstanding), but it probably will be tweeted as a threat now and then as part of the GOP Christianist foreign policy.

Man-Made Environmental Disaster will happen within three years of EPA and other regulations being gutted. Something akin to the Johnstown flood, probably. Climate or natural Disaster, can't really tell - and it won't be considered a "disaster" unless hundreds of people lose their lives. The media is getting blasé about that sort of thing, they need serious human sacrifice to get excited about anything any more.
Next major Hurricane, Flood, a major Earthquake, major Wildfire or Volcanic eruption that causes millions (or even billions) of dollars of damage - that's up to nature's schedule. I will predict, however, that areas where major donors live or have their pet recreational areas will get all the recovery help needed in such disasters.

All it will take is a terrorist attack and then Iran. He'll miscalculate with China and that will be the beginning of the end.
