We Have Moved Beyond Partisanship Into Sectarianism Like Belfast, Ireland.
We have become more like the Protestants and Catholics in Ireland. We are now two warring camps and political discourse has fragmented into a chaos and surrealism. We really cannot live together because each hates the other side so much. Remember who put out liberal hunting licenses. Look for continuing attacks by the racist and bigots and Trump supporters if anyone even dares criticize Trump or the GOP. So coming together is really not possible presently.
I have no reason to care what happens to Trump supporters because they will attack anyone NOT them. One has no reason to cooperate or even help Trumpers in a crisis because they want to destroy liberals, progressives, unionist, labor activists, gays, black, hispanic, asians, the sick, the disable. et al. And we will see some violence as well. If you do not salute the flag or properly stand for our anthem you will be targeted with all the vitriol they can muster.
Trumpets really want to purge the country of ALL progressive thought or action. The meme to Dept of Energy asking names of scientists working global warming should give the rest of us a clue.
We are on different political ground in 2017. We have some idiot in Denver waving the US flag continuously on some major highway here until inauguration. This bigot is saying we do not respect the flag and are NOT patriotic enough. He is a Trumper in the late 50's.
I see little peace in the New Year.
